Anyone else have issues receiving total garbage from Detroit Axle. I bought STRUTS from them, they didn't weld the brakeline bracket on correctly and they handle worse then my wore out ones. Returned them to Detroit Axle and they refuse to stand behind their product or return my money.

You get what you paid for. And that was junk. Plenty of horror stories about that company previously mentioned on this forum. Maybe kyb or Monroe fits your budget. If not then the tried and true 5100s or 4600 bilsteins

By the way welcome. I see it's your first post. Hope I didnt come off hard. The search button on this site can be your best friend. Tacoma will only be as reliable as the parts you throw at it.

Yes. That brand is very cheap for a reason. $200 to rebuild the entire front end isn't going to be high quality.

I've used their stuff on an s10 blazer I was selling, it was better than worn out parts. But who knows how long those parts held up.

if you're keeping it stock ride height, I purchased 4 of the Bilstein 4600 shocks and have been pleased with them. They might not give the smoothest ride, but for the money, I can't complain.

Sorry for the hard learned lesson, but remember the old adage, you get what you pay for. We all get burned at least once it our lifetime, and it's just best to move on.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Just how did you pay for them there is always a recourse

Did they offer to exchange product ?

I am not sure just what vehicle you have that uses Struts??

Something is really strange here looking at Detroit Axle website this by far as more contact information then most websites Street address phone number the warranty seems about standard for the industry

Has Covid impacted there Customer Service like so many other places perhaps??

Funny, my go to brake pad and rotor brand for my daily Honda's is Detroit axle. I've always liked them and the quality is good enough for a daily civic. That said I don't think I would trust them on the track or ripping down mountain roads. I guess some companies are better at certain things then others... And as others have said, Bilstein is the king of balancing cost, performance, and longevity.

Everything has been good so far.

There was no brake fluid in the bottle when opened the box.
It all leaked out into the bottom of the box. Not a big deal.
They sent it all in 1 massive box, with multiple boxes inside.
The pads and rotors were in plastic wrap. So nothing got wet.
Who knows, it probably happens in shipping.

I’d probably order from them again. The prices were good.
