Not having a problem but was thinking of preventive maintenance on my 2001 2.7L and found that the ignition coils have never been replaced and I'm almost at 200K.

    Toyota wants $121 per unit
    Denso is $45

But isn't Denso the OE supplier? Part numbers match too so its not that!

    Go with the Denso part?

Go with Denso. Skip the Toyota markup.

Denso is (generally) an OE supplier for a myriad of parts. It's a well respected brand.

That said, $121 really isn't much when you consider you'd likely get another 200k out of them.

I guess the question is did denso make the original ones for this truck? I guess if I yank one out I would find out and I would know.

Make sure the seller of the Denso part is reputable, and not some counterfeit parts selling scumbag. I wouldn’t hesitate to use a legit Denso part.

Rock Auto $45 each plus $11 shipping for a set, and Advance Auto Parts. Advance was $93 but they came down to $50 each after I asked and will pick them up today!
