Lurk here daily but rarely post.
    2002 tacoma 4x4 2.7 / 5 speed / with air cond.Time to replace the radiator.
Are the Denso radiators from Autozone as good as the radiators that the toyota dealer sells?
Second question is how do you measure the core?
Mine measures 25 5/8" across the top.
    Autozone says they come in 18 3/4" , 20 3/4" , and 22 5/8" cores. Am I measuring wrong?
    Thanks

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Like so many things different companies use core to mean a few different things.

The Core is the part of the radiator between the upper and lower plastic tanks . Auto zone most likely means the vertical distance.

I do like my Copper and Brass radiators just for the fact field repairs are so easy compared to plastic and aluminum.

Good call on the Harrison part.
Looking online it seems like the dealer sells Denso. Just not sure if Denso makes a cheaper version Aotozone.
I dont mind spending a little more money to get something that will last.

That's probably the route I'll go. I've had great luck giving the dealer my vin # and getting the right part the 1st time.
I'm not too confident with Autozone ordering the right part.

Where did you get the Denso from?
Dealers around here were closed for the Holiday today. I should be able to track 1 down tomorrow.

Ordered the Denso radiator from the dealer yesterday.
$275 and it should be here in 3 or 4 days.
This truck has been so reliable that I forget it's almost 20 years old, and parts are getting hard to find. I'm not going into panic mode, but I called 5 toyota dealers and nobody had 1 in stock.
Luckily mines not a big leak, just a little damp on the top. I got other vehicles to drive, but I prefer driving this little truck as my daily driver.
    Thanks everyone for the replies.
