Anyone with a decked for a 3rd gen have any accessories they have been wanting or can’t find a solution to? I’m currently prototyping some stuff and could use some input on other wants, needs or solutions for the decked system on a Tacoma.

Over the past week I have drawn up a design for a Decked drawer system Molle panel. This panel requires no modification, or drilling into the drawer at all! The panel is equipped with many holes, slots and Molle to mount just about anything you want. The panels will come with all stainless hardware and constructed out of 3/16" mild steel for a sturdier mounting point for heavier items like axes, shovels and jacks. I have cut out a few test pieces out of thinner material and test hardware and will have pictures of that soon. Let me know what you think, and if anyone would be interested in a product like this?

I also have designed a solution for mounting your spare tire onto your Decked drawer system, and here is the first prototype. It is adjustable from any direction, and I am currently working on making it height adjustable for different back spaced wheels. Ideally, you want the tire to be sitting on the decked drawer with the spare tire being held snug by the lugs. That way it would not be stressing out the drawer system. This is not the final product! I have many things to work out as I install it and make it adjustable.

I started prototyping a cutting board/table top to fit into the top of the smaller drawer last yr sometime. But never got further than cutting heavy cardboard to fit the space.

I really liked my two toolboxes that sat in mine. Although they were heavy, and I wished they had better use of space. I wish they had a table storage situation. I used to visit 5+ sites each week and I have a portable laptop stand, I could see how others would also find it useful to have a table that stores in a drawer or cubbies.

I found those tool boxes to be way too cumbersome, and clunky. Same with the dividers, as they just restrict the amount of space you have inside the drawers. A cutting board would be great! Maybe some custom cubbies? I know several people including myself use the decked for their camp kitchen!

Thats a great idea! would be pretty simple to make a plastic one if you could get your hands on a peice.

Are you thinking a table that fits in the drawer on top where it doesn't effect the storage of the rest of the drawer?

Im thinking of maybe a simple paper towel holder for those who want to use the system for a camp kitchen.

Over the past week iv prototyped a steel Molle panel that mounts in the drawers without any drilling or modification of the drawer its self. ill update the original post as I go!

Very cool! I'm a little surprised there aren't more accessories for the Decked drawers already. Seems like there are a lot of opportunities for Decked to sell us more stuff. I don't need molle or a tire mount but I've been making plastic dividers (pretty janky, but they work) to further section off the drawers and tool boxes into smaller compartments. I use my drawers primarily for camping and I don't like the small items flying all over the place when I'm off-roading. Small boxes and dividers are what I am always looking for. I'd also like a fishing tackle box the size and shape of the crossbox. The current crossbox has a weirdly-shaped volume that isn't good for many small items like lures, etc and it doesn't fit Plano organizer boxes very well either. I've written Decked a couple of times with this idea but nothing has materialized yet! Just my two cents.
