Rather than take this thread to it's highly predictable outcome, I'll ask something else instead.

Who here would still be willing to drive their truck after it squashed a human thief? I don't know if I would. It would take a long damn time to hop in and not think about it.

Edit. Wasn't intended to show sympathy in either direction. It's a no-agenda question.

Fuck thieves, but still. Don't know if I could drive a truck that squashed one.

It’s not like she intentionally drove over him. She was woken up, while living in her Excursion, and attempted to flee in her home.

It’s a horrible accident caused by the perp who was allegedly stealing her converter.

I think I’d be ok with the vehicle being innocent in all this.

Knowing myself, I think that I would be angry at myself. Angry for being put into a position of feeling guilt for someone who was trying to make me the victim. It would take me a while to get over it. And I'd get rid of the material possession since I associate memories with things.

Not sure if I’d want to do the crushing but I don’t feel too bad for the victim. Stealing bread to feed your fam is one thing. Causing financial harm to another human for your personal gain…is another thing.

I wouldn't feel bad killing a mouse eating my wiring, why would I feel bad for other vermin damaging property?

I know. "That's mean. They're people, too!" Yup. People who have made choices that got them killed. I'm not responsible for their choices. They are, and all the blame is on them.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
My first reaction is fuck them, karma is a bitch. But I have to agree I'd have a little guilt. If it was a first time offender trying to feed his family, then I'd definitely feel bad. BUT most likely it's a tweeker who has a rap sheet. Well if it was the latter, I'd sleep fine that night. The next morning when that V8 roars to life, with cats, there might be a pinch of guilt, but I'd get over it. Ultimately, do the crime, pay the time.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I would never even give it a thought.

Long ago I bought a car from my friends parents who was dumb and dropped the car on himself.

I always thought He would have wanted the car he loved to go to a good home.

Yup. Cops got three others in custody as a result. This lady just saved a bunch of other people's cars.

I think anyone (who’s actually sane) would feel a sense of guilt/shame/remorse/etc. It’s not normal to be okay with taking the life of another person. There’s too many soldiers with PTSD that prove my point above.

As for me, I’d definitely feel bad for taking the life of another person regardless of the reasons why.

As for the criminals: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

For sure, I'd feel something. I feel it when I hunt, and that's for food. I don't lose sleep over it though.
