Deals on Toyota WS ATF ?

Was going to pick some up at the dealership yesterday but they wanted $20/quart which seems a little high. Anyone know where to find a good deal on WS? Don't want to buy on Amazon as it could be counterfeit. I heard people got it or $8 a quart so $20 a quart seems insane. had a terrible experience at that dealership, made me wait 5 hours for them to tell me something is "normal".

 

Just curious if you’ve seen evidence of counterfeit WS on Amazon? I always buy it there and haven’t had any issues. I’ll post the link of the seller I’ve used if you want it.

I just bought 12 quarts back in the summer at a Toyota dealership out of Florida.

I just googled around for best price. It was legit Toyota fluid. Worked fine.

 

i mean, it's probably real, but Amazon is notorious for counterfeit stuff. I'd be willing pay a little more for peace of mind, but $20/q is excessive.

 

Aisin WS on Rockauto is $8/qt. Supposed to be the same thing from the trans mfg.

 

it has slightly different viscosity values, but seems like it would work fine

Amazon is notorious for counterfeit stuff when you don't know what you're looking for. If you do, it's pretty easy to spot red flags between the description, seller, photos, etc.

 

This is one of those things I only buy from dealers. Even for my other models.

No, no, NO. Can't do that!!!! Even though an honest dealership service department will tell you it's compatible, it's not OEM. The transmission will IMMMMMPLODE!!!!! We're talking blackhole level event.

Lol Amazon counterfeit cmon man

 

I had bought some parts for my lawn tractor through Amazon. They were obviously counterfeit, by way of packaging and “kinda” looking like parts I needed. I learned my lesson.

I have ordered Toyota parts online from other dealers and while expensive they are the real deal.

I stay away from cheap parts. It is probably counterfeit.
