Dealer confirmed army green will be a non-Pro color on the 2021s

Gotta be the best color. Thinking of trading the 2018 for a 2021 access cab army green.

 

Until this morning, I've only seen AG at dealer lots. I saw an AG Tundra Pro in this morning's commute. It looked really good.

 

I don't like the color at all. Don't get me wrong. I love army green. I just don't like that they made it GLOSSY instead of a FLAT finish.


They should have attempted a finish like the Vinyl WRAPS which has a FLAT look to it like this:




But instead they went with a god awful shiny finish like this which looks like baby poop after eating green beans.

 

yeah the glossy finish does look weird especially under a lot of lights like that. Needs a fine layer of dirt over it at all times lol.

 

We all have our opinions....and I love Army Green.

 

I mean not really a shock, this has been the status norm for all the pro colors.

 

That will be a bunch 'o bucks for a color change along with a few new do-dads.

But I'm a used buyer and 10-15 yr keeper. What do I know?

 

Factory matte finishes are typically a special order color. Mainly for the reason that the finish requires special care and handling. It might fair well for the old school truck buyer, but not so well for the masses.

 

Careful work with wet 2000 and a respray with flat clear will fix you right up!
