Good day everyone! So I got this grill installed...came with no wiring instructions, Bummer. Their site says(for this particular grill) wiring can be tapped into DRL or marker. with research, I've found a video from Jesse Rizzo on YouTube for some raptor lighting install he was doing. I tapped into the socket for drivers side DRL(green wire). I'm not wiring raptor lights but a "backlit" T O Y O T A letters. they work yea me...but they only work in auto mode during they day and on another setting of just dimmed DRL's. if I want to make it work with my headlights turned on(on auto mode)…would tapping into the marker light work? if so what does the socket look like and what color wire is it to tap into? I looked at a 9 page pdf that another member posted but um don't have clue how to read it...if it were a piping diagram easy peasy...but its not sooo here I am. thanks in advance folks!

You could just use a tap a fuse holder in the under hood fuse box. Grab the headlight fuse and put your ground on. Should come on when the headlights come on. Then you don’t have to tap a wire.

Yes, it's the connector at the bottom center of the headlight.

thank you sir! but I've swapped out my headlights to Morimoto headlights and the above pic is really no help as I sold off my og headlights...what I need is a pic of the factory wiring harness plug and what color wire(from the factory wiring harness side and not the headlight side harness if that makes sense) to tap for the marker light drivers side...is the factory wiring harness plug that meets up that connects to H-16, grey as well or black?

    It has 3 wires:
    White with black stripe
    Green (DRL)
Pink or Blue depending on which side of the vehicle.
The connector has 4 slots but one is plugged.

Pink & Blue are the Parking circuit. Green is the DRL (Bright) which turns OFF when Low beams are selected. Blue & Pink provide juice for the DRL (Dim).

If the conditions (light sensor) are as programmed, then yes. The Parking/tail circuit provides power to the markers.
