Today I had a good drive on the highway and back roads with my new truck. All I can say is I am extremely pleased with it. Went from a 2005 TRD Sport 9 years, to a 2015 GMC Seirra All terrain Loaded 4 years, Back to a 2019 SR5. I special ordered the truck because I wanted a 19 with the 2.7 and the black and caramel interior. I do not tow or offroad "yet" .

This thing is smooth, handles great, and being 6ft 2" 250lbs I find I have plenty of room leg and head wise. It turns on a dime. I honestly do not miss my GMC 1 bit. First thing I did was fluid film the underside. Installed my remote starter, And went cruising. Will give a good updated review after I get some miles on it.

I went with the 12volt solutions which is actually a Fortin. I have the press the lock 3x and the long range remote. Went in easy and works great. And for all you push button guys my truck doesnt shut off when the door is open.

1st where the hell are our pics????

2nd my gf bought her SR 2.7 brand new a few months ago and damn that's a smooth ride. My v6 rattles, wurrs, wines, chunks, shakes and just overall feels like a truck. The difference is unreal

I will get pics up once I get a chance to take some good ones. Update : been driving it 2 days straight now and I love this truck. Smooth as silk and these 16" tires absorb everything. And the ect button is like nitrous.

    Too few to list.
I've had a '17 2.7 auto 4x4 AC. I noticed it can get 24+ hwy easily in stock form. Switching from the 245/75R16 tires to 265/75R16 I've noticed a significant drop in mpg. I suggest stick to that size tires (P rated) and change the wheels out to lighter alloys. I was using 19lb alloys and my wheel/tire weight was equal to the weight of the stock which is about 60lbs. Even with LCE Headers I was averaging about 18mpg.

You should be happy with the LCE Headers alone. For $450 and simple installation, it's the best mod you can have for the 2.7L.

After a week of steady driving all I can say is wow. I really like this truck. The 2.7 has all the power I need. Got 23mpg so far on highway and 18 steady around town. The transmission shifts are seamless . Tried out the adaptive cruise and it works great. Anybody looking for a truck that wont be pulling a giant boat dont underestimate the 2.7. I will post more updates as time goes on.

Nice truck! The engine really opens up with a few thousand miles on it, it's a little gem of a powerplant.

Driving every day since I got it. I still love it. 2.7 has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smooth. Average 21mpg around town and 23 on highway with a heavy foot. Cab is quiet. Ride is solid and smooth. No negative comments as of yet.

Hey OP, glad you’re loving the truck! Gotta ask, how is it getting in and out of as a somewhat bigger guy? Looking into the 2019’s myself but hubby has had back surgery so bending awkwardly to get in a vehicle can be problematic for him.

I find it much easier to get in and out of than my 2015 GMC Sierra I got rid of. Plenty of head room. I honestly have nothing to complain about. But my passengers complain that it does not have a handle to hold coming down from headliner.
