Probably a thread somewhere, but does anyone have a recommendation for the best quality Demon Brackets and D-Rings??
I’ve seen a lot on Amazon but want to know the ones that people like the best!! Live in PNW and want ones that hold up to the weather up here….thanks in advance!!

lol, what's a 'demon bracket' now?

    ok, found it.

none. they all suck, they're entirely aesthetic.

at least get the sdhq hidden winch kit and act like you use your truck.

i think they are made the same.

i bought some at home depo. used them for multiple recoveries.

the thing to do with the ones you buy, apply some grease on the threads. they tend to seize over time if you dont use them.

Shackles are meant to be used for recoveries and there’s no benefit to leaving them installed. Some people really like that “nipple rings” look though.
Skip the demon brackets and save up for a rated recovery point like the arb.

Now looking at front bumpers it almost seems logical to save and get something that actually will be functional and save my ass with front end damage…get a lot of darting deer up here and could be very beneficial….thanks!!

I'd be happy with a nice set of c rings. Even A or B if they are the right shape.

You'll want to source non-china Crosby or similar shackles, made in USA or Canada, which are rated for 4.75 ton LIFTING (which has a 4X safety factor).

Something rated for lifting is way safer than normal towing/non-lifting applications.

Now watch out for the 'demon brackets', those will be the failure point, turning the bracket and shackle into a missile.
You should source an engineered recovery point or at least something that is on par with off road industry standards with good welding and FULLY welded up

Be careful using Demon Brackets, they tend to break in rather dangerous and high-velocity ways. The point they mount to is not the strongest and (I believe) is meant to shove itself out of the way in a collision.

I have the 4Xinnovations front and rear bumpers, they have very sturdy mounting points for rings. At the very least, you want a solid frame attachment.

I started looking into a full front bumper replacement because the brackets and shackles seem more of an esthetic thing and not a recovery thing. Gonna have to save a while but in the end functionality is what I’m after!! Thanks!!
