My cv axel will not come out by any means. There’s no pin holding it in. It’s just that little clip at the end of the shaft. I’ve Pryed on it for 20 minuets and I’ve even grabbed a hold of my shock and used my feet to push on the key bar. I just isntalled it 2 weeks ago and forgot to put the axel seal in it. Any idea on why it won’t come out???

    Reserected from the dead.
Make a puller. Loop a chain around it, on the opposite end put the handle of a sledge hammer, give the sledge a swing and you should be able to pop out the CV from the Duffy.

Keep out of the line if fire, when it pops, it might keep coming at you. Ask me how I kniw.:)

That’s what I ended up doing. I was so mad at myself for not thinking of it sooner

the spring clip that retains the axle in the diff has an open end and this has to point down to allow it to compress "easier"... how do you know it is in the down position when the axle is installed, you dont, you have to pry on it a little and if it doesnt pop, rotate the axle a little and try again and again untill it pops out.

In the future if you have oem cv's these notches can be used to tap on with a large screw driver or crow bar to break loose the clip. download.jpg

Pry on it with 2 pry bars at the same time on opposite sides. If you only use 1 you’re just side loading it in the diff and it’ll never pop out.
