I ordered a custom wincher bumper, custom rear bumper, lights, and a smittybuilt winch from a company out of Georgia called Tactical Armor Group. This company is straight shit! The bumpers took over 100 days from the date of order to get to me. Upon arrival the bumpers were all scratched up. I paid extra to have them bed liner sprayed. When I tried to install the rear bumper I noticed that they made the brackets incorrectly. I now have to send the rear back so that they can fix it. The worst part about these guys is their customer service. These guys are dicks and are not willing to do anything to help with the inconvenience and product issues. The only things that were willing to do to remedy the situation is send the bumper back and fix it. They said they would also send me some stuff to respray the bumpers. So now I have to fix the scratches myself and wait even longer for my rear bumper. By the way I paid over $2000.00 for both bumpers, lights, and the winch. My advise is to stay away from tactical armor group. They suck!

The bumpers are cool in design but all the other issues make them suck. The worst part is the customer service. I will post pics soon! Stay away from these guys their asshats!

Note to anyone else out there to learn from OP's mistake: research the shop before you purchase. Big uproar over this outfit a while back. They used to be called Kennesaw Mountain Fab or something along those lines. After a lot of bad rep looked like they changed their name to TAG. I can't speak on their crap work but plenty of others on the internet can.

    One example: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toyota-truck-4runner/546007-scam-do-not-purchase-your-bumpers-kennesaw-mountain-accessories.html

Yeah, always stick to a place that has a name that's been around a while. These fly by night places have nothing to lose from stiffing people. If you don't have a good name built up from years of quality parts and service, it's not going to bother you to dick someone around and risk it.

Luckily my cousin owns an off road shop, and usually has some idea of the other companies he deals with. He started Performance off road back in 1990 so needless to say, I've always had good experiences. Sorry you had to deal with these toolbags. But thanks for the heads up!

FYI: bedliner, powdercoating and/or paint are typically not guaranteed to survive shipping if the part is large enough to ship on a pallet. This is true for most truck armor vendors except maybe ARB. (Some vendors don't offer powdercoating unless it's local pick-up.)

How are the brackets not fitting? Is there a slight width mismatch? The Tacoma frame can splay open slightly when you remove the stock tow hitch. It is recommended to "squeeze" the frame rails together with ratchet straps before installing the new bumper.

No excuse for poor customer service, but just to let you know it isn't always "plug-n-play" with armor.

One of the brackets are made correctly the other one is welded upside down. It's hard to put on when one of the is brackets is upside down.

Yep same company, same customer service complaints. My friend ordered a kennesaw bumper for his Chevy and it was a terrible fit. Had to weld it in place it was so bad.
