Hey wussup TW any bass heads out there that have made a custom enclosures for there 3rd gen Tacoma double cab.Did some custom work in the past in some of my cars and this is my first truck I ever bought and there’s limited amount of space to work with then a truck of a car.
Need a little inspiration was Thinking for taking out all the plastic storage behind the seats build a box in there or even taking the whole left side out and making a box there. I don’t really have passengers sit behind me sins I'm pretty tall and my seat is pretty much all the way back.
I’ve bin doing some research on some boxes and there dimensions. But biggest bottom mount for sub they put in other boxes is around a 5.2” to 5.6” in 10” or 12” sub and it’s a problem I want to fit my 10” with a bottom mount of around 6.5”.
Has anyone made a box and have put that size sub behind there without any major rubbing of the sub on to the seats.

Plz Post your custom subwoofer enclosure Thanks in advance!!

That price point tho. That's a little steep. Definitely paying to "save space"

also have a Marv box with a 13TW5, sealed and on a 500/1 with a 5F Alumapro cap. had to remove all the plastic and be careful with dynamat so the box wasn't pushed into the seat. it's very close. with the seat up it touches the seat bottom, but doesn't touch with the seat down so you can do it depending on dimensions and excursion.

if i could change one thing it would be to do full floor & ceiling deadening. i have way more bass than i can use. thanks for the JL bass knob.

Mr marv is the highest quality! 2.2 cubic feet sealed behind seat. Two 12xt1s Rockford Fosgates. Probably the loudest subs to fit behind the rear seats so the truck still resembles stock

Mr marv recommended duratex, its the stuff they use for concert equipment cases, roadie cases. Legit professional coating

Nice box I like it and man that sub looks huge back there lol I took some measurements back there with out the plastic to fit the same set up as you. If you don’t mind me asking if you could post up the dimensions of the box. Definitely need to dynamat the rear wall I have a Rockford Fosgate P3S 12 back there for now and it rattles like crazy.

To maximize the space you would need to remove the brace, plastic covers from behind the seats, increase the seat lock out angle and remove the OEM sound deadner (too thick and uneven). Definitely not reversible to stock. You would have to get creative with the angles to fit a pair of 10s as low as possible.

2 Sound Integrity BM 12" fit, they are really shallow though (3.4"). Had to use 1/2" plywood for the back, everything else is 3/4". Looking at some of the dimensions I have it looks like it will be a close fit for 10s @ 5-1/2" deep.

Wow that is hella clean man thanks for the feed back I was wondering about taking the rear brace out but had some second though on it. Change up my mind this couple of days looking at other boxes and setups and how clean it looks back there. Probably going to do the shallow mount route to maximize space with a single skar VD-12’s around 5” deep.
