I want a 2 12" sub setup in my Tacoma (Xtra Cab) but I'm constantly with friends so they fill the two back seats, If anyone has any sort of way to fit two 12"s in the back please let me know, post you're setup pics I'd love to see them. (even if they steal the back seats lol)

    my 1x 12”
Has a quick disconnect wire so it’s easy to take out

Are you going ported or non ported?
Can’t imagine having 2x 12s and still having 2 seats..
I’ve heard of people removing those back cushions and sticking subs in them, but they’d still stick out a ways

Only way to do this is make a custom enclosure with down firing subs that will replace the where people sit in the back, that would require drilling out spot welds and removing that panel. Or you could go for a wall type setup in between the two passengers. Whoever is in the back wouldn't be able to see or talk to the person next to them though

I'd be going with a ported setup most likely but anyway i can fit 2 12" subs would work, I've thought about making quick disconnect wires so when I need the rear seats it'd be easy to take out, I just haven't thought of the best way to go about it, any pointers?

Also, another thing about the wall box, I was never sure how people went about keeping their seatbelts clips within access, so that's something to think about

Might be harder to make them ported, you need the right volume for it to sound good and it’ll take up wayy more space. Sealed you can take less space. Personally prefer sealed enclosure, more precise how I like it, requires a bit more power tho
    Ported will be more boOoOmmy

Just have a car audio shop build you a custom sub enclosure !!!! . This is exactly what I did with my 02 DC Pre Runner since there's not much room in a Double cab

Behind my rear seat I've got a custom made sub enclosure with (2) Pioneer 10" shallow mount subs

This is a clean set up and agree that you will lose your seats with a box size required for two twelves. If you go the custom route there are MFGs out there that make nothing but boxes, - no speakers, just boxes, carpeted or not, in any size, configuration, wood type etc.

op, have the same cab. i would be willing to make you a template or cut list if you want to diy. tools need: jigsaw, drill/screwgun, framing square and utiliy razor. a carpenter/cabinetmaker can do this with no problems.

cut it out, glue and screw mdf box, cover the box one side at a time with carpet or vct spray 3m adhesive stick and trim.
