After searching it seems that nobody had an adapter for our shift knob to accommodate custom knobs. So I designed one for my dragon ball knob. I will 3D print it tonight and hopefully I got all the dimensions right

I may sand it down later but I went thicker layer heights too this time. It seemed to lock into place pretty secure. A little more snug then factory. This one was intended for a roughly 2.25 diameter ball

After some re working on this i feel much better with the fit. Thoughts on who is interested in them? I may post on pinshape for sale if you have a 3d printer, or etsy.

Wow, way to bash his design. WTH? You're welcome to build one yourself with a better finish.

Dont make this into something it isnt. Bashing =/= criticism.

The idea is awesome, and based off of the video, it functions properly. He also mentioned that he was considering sanding the sides down. He posted final pics of the piece, not sanded and still with the bad finish, for sale on etsy.

Yes this is my final design. Its the nature of 3d printers to not be perfectly smooth and i dont have a super fancy printer. This is a close up. I just did this because nowhere else made them. The hard lines on top of the right side is curved to fit a ball knob. That is covered up anyways and the nature of additive layer printing. I figured some would want to sand and paint but the most recent prints i like the effect of the raw product.

Thanks man :) It wasnt easy to design

Thanks. Yep exactly. I would rather not have a bash fest. All for constructive critique. It is a rough product and its plastic so easily worked with which is to be expected :)

It would actually be easier to just remove the stock chrome ring attachment and make a simple base for the shifter knob.
If you remove the center counsel that chrome ring is only held on to the shifter boot with a zip tie.

Yeah i know people said that too. I am a drafter though and liked the challenge. Plus, I didnt want to take apart the center console. This allowed for a fast swap of shift knobs

Nice. Yeah I would highly recommend PETG, or ABS at minimum for interior parts. Much stronger and hold up to interior temps better :) nice CAD

    That's cool!
Once you have the file worked out maybe you can ask someone with a higher grade printer to print it up using a finer setting?

    Good Luck!
    Have Fun!
