YouTube's algorithm suggested this video by YouTuber Untamed Motors - I've never watched his channel before but he's showing the different MFG lots and how trucks appear to not be moving.

The failure of the EV hummer, what appears to be slow or non existent sales of hybridized trucks, the quality lagging in exchange for volume, and the breaking in of the consumer on almost 6 figure trucks.

I know for me personally, I am not interested in upgrading to the new Tacoma because of:
    1. Price
    2. Styling
    3. What appears to be lower quality fit and finish

He makes the argument basically that people want a petro fueled truck over hybrids, and I think he's right. People want something they can still wrench on if they have to.

High interest rates, high prices, and the lots are filled.

    What are you takes?

Picked up a new old stock 2023 Jeep Gladiator last week. ~34% off MSRP. Deals are out there.

Yes trucks have gotten expensive if they weren't already. Outside of vehicles that can be had for a good discount, there isn't too much motivation to buy unless there's something you want.

There are bunch of them on Youtube posting click bait videos. They have been saying the market is gonna crash for at least a year now. I haven't seen it happened, yet.

People are bitching about price the of the new Tacoma.
I shopped around and got a 2025 Off Road 4WD for 41K before TTL, local in Socal.
    Seems reasonable to me.

You don't have to pay 6 figures for a new truck unless you just want to. A fairly basic 4X4 crew cab is all I want. I don't want or need most of the options that just run up costs. I can drive a new 1/2 ton off the lot equipped to my liking somewhere in the mid $40K range.

Inflation sucks. My new 2000 Tacoma was $20k, 2007 $30k, 2023 $40k. All of them pretty similar in configuration. I'm not rich, I'm not poor. I just like stuff that works. Historically, Toyota makes stuff that works. They had a few hiccups along the way, but overall, they're worth it if you can afford it. Untamed Motors is a tool, regardless of his clickbait message.
