My stock skid plate is pretty useless at this point, big rust areas.

Is anyone still selling an aftermarket one that would work with the stock front bumper?

    Thanks!

I’m also running an RCI. Seems pretty decent thus far. And, yes, it 100% works with the stock bumper.

I have a diff drop with the RCI skids and it works fine. Not a stock bumper, but it does work with the stock bumper as others have mentioned.

I have a diff drop on mine, stock bumper just trimmed with blinkers relocated. I really like them they are very heavy duty, my only complaint is that I wish the opening for the oil drain plug was bigger, it works fine unless you have a Fumoto valve. I also have the RCI LCA skids and they're also great.

RCI guys - do you have front and transmission skid? Is it 2 or 3pc from front to transmission?

I currently only have the front RCI skid. That said, an RCI transmission skid is on the way. ;)

It is sold as two individual components.

Nice. Does the front RCI skid replace the 2pc stock or just the front?

Truthfully, I’ve sort of forgot how far back the stock shields went. The RCI front skid attaches to existing mounts from the front to just about where the power steering rack is located.

I have the engine and trans and it's a 2 piece setup, front one goes from stock front mounts to power steering, trans goes behind that. The RCI has a little lip on the front mounting end that doesn't work with the trail gear bumpers, just an fyi. Nothing a quick zip with a cutting wheel couldn't fix.

With stock and a few other aftermarket bumpers it seems to bolt up with no issue. Looks like you have a CBI, same as @BeLance89 and his looks to have bolted right up

Damn good to know, I have both RCI skids and I just ordered a Trailer Gear bumper.

Yeah I didn't know either, I mocked them up and they should line up fine after trimming the lip, just haven't taken the time to get them on yet.

It's due to the Trail gear crossmember, while much beefeier than stock, is also too thick for it to clear the lip of the RCI skids. The stock skids curve up as well, but have the mounting points on top of the lip, so no big deal. It'll make more sense when you see them side by side.

I just wish RCI had pics of the skid uninstalled so I could have seen it beforehand and at least prepared myself. Not a big deal though, they shipped quick and were priced right so no real issues there other than sad face when initially trying to install. I have to do steering rack bushings soon, so maybe I'll revisit the skids when tackling that.

If you get them on, post up here
