Greetings all! I travel with a Yeti cup full of water. I noticed after 2hours that when I picked up my cup and touched the bottom, it was really warm. I felt around the floor by the shift lever and it was cool. Then I felt between the seat and the console and it was very warm. The top of my Yeti was still very cold. Has anyone else experienced this? And I had my tranny fluid checked and it was 1/4 quart low. Could that have caused it?

The power inverter for the bed outlet is there. The vent is at the back of the center console. Check if it is blocked.

Do you have the 400 watt power inverter?? Which cup holder there are 3 for AT... two below climate control and one behind the gear shift with the square hole. If it is the one by the square hole. I think the power inverter is under it.

Lol! $22 on Amazon for my Yeti. Also have a Mallome with a spare lid and straw we got for $20 on Amazon. Back to Taco, mine is an automatic. And it is the cup holder behind shifter. It could have been the inverter vent because we were traveling with the seats folded down. But I thought it was turned off.

I’ve noticed the same with my truck, manual transmission 2nd gen also with a Yeti. I think the transmission tunnel just gets hot. Someday I’ll probably insulate to backside of the cup holder to help prevent it.

The console is above the transmission tunnel. Transmission gets warm. Might be some other stuff generating heat there too.

Like what was said above. Center console sits directly above the transmission. All that air space heats up real quick. If you were to take off the center console trim you’d see the difference. I’ve had my interior disassembled and driven after and just putting your hand over the center hump you can feel the heat.

Just pop everything open and put some thermal barrier around the backside of the cupholder if it’s an issue.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I once was fiddling under the radio while sitting at a red light. Bout burned myself on the tranny tunnel under the console. Hot day, hot truck, owfuck

Just experienced this in my truck with a new Yeti... What a relief to come to Tacoworld and be reassured it wasn't a huge issue!!!!

    Enough for now
Felt it on my right lower leg driving with the cruise control on the other day. Also yeti is worth the coin, laughable all the people who say “buy once cry once” with truck parts then won’t invest in coffee or booze vessels
