Went from a 2012 access cab prerunner to a 2015 4wd sport (both long beds). The access cab had the cubbies over the wheel well but the 2015 does not! Those cuddles had great use when sleeping in the back, anyone know why some models have them and others don’t?

Cost cut but still price inflation. Makes sense right? Welcome to the auto industry!

Mine rattle and bounce everything out. I pulled them out and washed the 15 years of road grim out and sprayed rust converter everywhere I could. They have been pretty much useless for me.

The robot that sets the bed in place changed and no longer uses mechanical arms that index into where those holes were. The new ones are pneumatic.

They did. I was pretty pissed when I got my 2013 and they were gone, I used those things all the time.

I use to keep spare fishing lures in there and when I put the topper on I use to store all my pocket gadgets in there while I slept. I was definitely bummed myself.

same, I used to put a few tie down straps in them but they always bounced out. I wish they would have just added a small access to door to keep things inside them.

What month was it made? The robots were replaced in 2011 but I don’t know what month. My October 2010 manufactured, 2011 year model has them.

Could the cubbies be retrofitted to the newer trucks by cutting a hole and pushing them in?

I pulled one out to put in the breather mod for the rear axle and the clip broke, never put it back in. Been 10yrs or so. The other has never been useful for me. Heck the cubbies with the doors haven't been either after having shitbirds steal shit or open them up, leaving the doors to rattle as I drove away

I use the cubbies with the doors all the time, but it’s very annoying that any given day they will Un-hook and slide around the bed. Waiting for the day that I have my canoe back there and the bed down and they just fly out of the bed.:bananadead:

I thought about using some outdoor double sided adhesive to put the one back in. Maybe try that.

They make good beer can holders when you’re out camping or somewhere and don’t have a garbage bag on you and don’t wanna just throw em in the bed.

I’ve put a few random things in them, they are def useful!

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Anyone know if there is clearance?
