Adding this to our work vehicles here at Mighty Mortgage Manor - Cub Cadet Challenger 750 UTV. I was originally skeptical but changed my mind after reading the ratings by ATV/UTV journals. Cub Cadet throws lots of items into their base model that are options on the big name brands. It comes with hard doors and ROPS, both front a rear locking differentials, gas-adjustable shocks, 3500lb winch, turn signals, a dump bed and much more. I'm adding the (removable) upper doors and rear window, a heater, windshield wiper, upper light bar and a power angle snow plow.

The 2004 Yamaha Kodiak 450 will remain for towing Lynn's tiller, sprayer and dump trailer for her garden and flower work.

How did the Cub Cadet work out for you? Any major issues? I'm considering purchasing one in almost new condition. Ok well that might be stretching the truth a little!! It needs a motor. There's a hole in the side of the block. But otherwise looks as if it's brand new. Has about 1000 km.

Mine has been good - no real issues with it. They seem to be hit and miss. Some people have no issues, others have failures. A friend had one that had transmission issues and he ended up just selling it back to the dealer for a Deere. If you're looking for a work vehicle, it's worth the investment, I think. But, if you're looking for an off-road cruiser, I'd say no. The gas pedal position related to seat position makes it uncomfortable for long drives. I use mine for working around our property and it's perfect, as well as for plowing snow.

Thanks for the reply and the helpful information. Yeah I'm looking for something for the trails. I live in Elliot Lake and there are old logging roads, mining roads and trails everywhere here. Trying to find a cheap sxs for now. Maybe upgrade in a couple years. I'd like to keep the price well under 10k so it's difficult finding something.

Don't think you'll be happy with it for trails, especially longer trips. It's pretty noisy and, as I said earlier, not comfortable to drive long distances because of the seat/gas pedal configuration, especially if you're wearing boots.
