Crutchfield "scratch and dent"

Anyone ever order anything from Crutchfield marked "scratch & dent"?

Just ordered my Kenwood DDX770 double din. Pretty excited. Talked to their rep. guy and he assured me it was probably something really minute.

 

I have bought a lot of things from Crutchfield's outlet through the years and like the rep said generally it is a small scratch, dent or chip that you would barely notice for a great price. But I have always had the advantage of going to their retail store and seeing it in person since I live nearby.

 

Probably just cosmetic I would do it if it means saving a good chunk of cash

 

I bought some "open item" speakers, no issues. I think the return policy is still valid even for scratch and dent stuff. I'd ask before ordering.

I purchased a scratch and dent NAD amp from Crutchfield and cannot see any blemishes. I believe that it was more an open box that had been returned. Very pleased!

 

Never had any issues with Crutchfield scratch & dent. I may have received one item in a generic box...otherwise, everything else was NIB as far as I could tell.

 

Thanks for the feedback guys! Should be here Wednesday. I got the textured dash kit with it. I will post pictures as I install it sometime this week.
