This has been disproven on multiple accounts including one customer asking FRP directly when purchasing their AT version. There is no difference in construction between the FRP built and FRP sold ones vs the FRP built and AT sold ones. Now, if you want to compare the AT add-ons, like the LED interior lights and such, that's a different story.

The only "thicker" one is like mine with no side windows - and it's only thicker there because there aren't windows.

Speaking of Flippac's... Here's a FULL SIZE one out in Tracy, CA. I can help put you in touch if you need - I used to live with this guy until we all got booted from our house in Oakland.

It's a pretty boring and typical one. Master tenant (renter / another guy) had been living in the house for 12 years. I had been there 4.5, dude with Flippac (had a 1st gen extended cab trd Tacoma, got Tundra shortly after) had been there 3.5. Owner wanted to sell the house. We had no rent control but just cause rights. Nobody but me wanted to try to assert any rights, so we all moved out so the owner could sell the house for over a million dollars with a cracked and hollow foundation, rotted out porch, broken windows, many other issues.

I go by the house every few weeks and see that it has been sitting vacant with absolutely nothing being done to the house to renovate or prepare for sale. I should go squat in it. :poking:

Up until a week ago when I moved into a friends place, all the tenants have been effectively homeless and couch surfing since we left that house.

lol damn... I guess the rent was pretty good then eh? They sound like slumlord owners if they didn't want to fix anything!

Definitely absentee landlords. We fixed the rotting cast iron sewage pipe ourselves as well as other things that got bad enough for us to spend our own money on it. It was cheap though, which is why we kept dealing with it (and no heat and barely any hot water and ...)

Can you guys keep an eye out for me for a used camper top for a 3rd gen long bed? I'd like to buy used b/c I don't plan on keeping it more than a year or two. I will eventually go with one of the pop-up shells like GFC after they have been out on the market for a year or two. In the mean time I need something to protect my gear and lockable. I am considering a Softtoper in case I can't find a hard shell to keep the initial investment down...

I am located in VA- will drive to pick up for right deal
