    Hi all,

Just got some coverking neoprene seat covers. They are really high quality and love the look.

Anyone have any advice for hooking the clips under the seat? With so many issues with the seats, I am having some hesitation clipping them into the somewhat flimsy springy pieces down there, but there seems to be not much else other than wires to clip it into. Maybe I am overthinking this.

Any other advice for instal? Seem like they are fitting pretty good

My buddy has them. I helped him to get them installed. All i can say is we both got hamburger hands after. They were a bitch. Finally removed the seats, and tipped them forward to get all the straps clipped to a good cross bar where the straps could be snugly locked in place. Just be careful not to stretch, or unplug any wire harness's under those seats. Idk why removing the seats and tipping them forward isn't in their instructions? It makes the job way easier.

Yea I have them as well, and the only way to get them to look really good is to pull the seats. Pain in the ass when you take them off to wash em and then have to pull the seats off again.

Hmm interesting. They look pretty good on mine without having taken off the seats. Maybe they will move around once I have used them a bit. Were you not able to get them to sit right without taking off the seat?

What is the process for taking off the seat? All of the clips are on metal, but they are the somewhat thing metal under the seat if that makes sense.

They look ok with leaving seats installed, but I found it much easier to cinch them down really tight with seats removed. I do have big gnarly gorilla hands so maybe that has something to do with it LOL

I did mine without removing the seats, but never again. Everything looks good after 9 months and hooked up decent enough. It would have been faster to remove or loosen the seats to tilt them up just to save time...and my hands. But, I do like mine!

I’ve installed a set of their tactical seat covers. I didn’t remove the seats, but I have really skinny hands. Your best bet is to remove the four bolts that hold the seat down, tilt the seat forward or backwards, and hook the clips onto the cushion springs.

If the Coverking covers install like Wet Okoles, you'll need to unhook a stiff "debris catcher" flap that runs from the seatback to below the cushion. Unhooking that flap by touch is difficult unless you've done it before. Undo the 4 seat bolts and tilt the seat rearward so you can see everything. The seat cover straps can clip onto the cushion springs.

Do yourself a favor and get a set of carhartts. They may not look/fit as well as others, but to install, and remove them is very easy/fast.

I've had my Coverking genuine neoprene covers for well over 4 years and I do remember the install being a PIA to get the clips under neath the seats, and indeed did end up with some hamburger hands. The seat covers have saved my seats from a lot of messes over the last few years, which has included the first 4 years of my daughters life, so they've endured many a spill and "accident" and clean up easily every time. Folks still ask me whether they were OEM due to their tight fit...

After nearly 3 years, I did have a section on the seam on the driver's side start to tear apart (from me sometimes sliding in and out of the truck). Coverking has (or had) a lifetime deal where, if you were a current customer, you could get any cover replaced for $50. My 2nd driver's side cover is holding up even better than the last one though

I had never loosened my seats until recently when I installed risers from desert does it. Stupid simple to loosen them quite a bit without even removing them so you can tilt. Literally <30 seconds more time will save your hands, frustrations, and make install far quicker!

Thread hijack - how are folks finding best to clean your covers? I've used some nikwax wetsuit cleaner a few times in a carpet cleaner while they are on the seats and it works pretty well, but also considering taking them off altogether to soak/wash gently and get a good deep clean

If they don't "look/fit as well as others" why would I want them? I'd rather spend the extra work of putting something on that looks and fits better than to have something that looks sloppy.

Had to do a little digging, but found these cleaning directions on the Coverking site. Seems pretty simple. Depending on the amount of filth, I'd imagine a mild fabric cleaner might work as well (might want to spot test first). Just don't use an iron

Material Information And Cleaning - Neosupreme / Neotex™

Coverking's Neosupreme / Neotex™ Custom Seat Covers are made from the same style materials used in our Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene covers, minus the actual neoprene rubber material. Unfortunately, some companies sell Neosupreme/Neotex as if it were Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene - it is not. Neotex/Neosupreme is a stylish material, but does not have the extra layer of genuine neoprene rubber. What it lacks in layers it makes up for in value, since Neotex offers the same style and a far reduced cost. Neotext is a perfect choice for people looking for an all-round material with great style. It will not stand up to the same level of abuse as genuine neoprene or other materials will, but will certainly be able to protect from minor spills and abrasion. To see actual customer photos, visit our facebook page: To clean Neotex/Neosupreme, simply remove them and hand wash with a very mild detergent such as Woolite. Air dry, do not machine dry. Do not use an iron.

Thanks, I actually have the genuine neoprene so care is a bit different since it has the rubber compound in it. I've just never removed them entirely for what I'd call a "deep" clean, and have cleaned w/ them on the seats. For those reading, DEFINITELY use a wet suit cleaner. It restores the neoprene incredibly well, even done on the seats.

    Cleaning & Maintenance

Wet suit shampoo is specifically designed for cleaning and conditioning neoprene products. Cleaning with wet suit shampoo removes organic residue, micro-organisms and salt deposits that contribute to the deterioration of neoprene. Wet suit shampoo can also help prevent excessive drying, premature aging and oxidation of neoprene products. Wet suit shampoo can be purchased at most surf shops, on-line retailers (like Amazon) etc.

You can wash the seat covers while they are still on the vehicle. Use water with the wet suit shampoo as directed by the wet suit shampoo manufacturer. Use a lint-free cloth and wash your seat covers. Rinse your seat covers with fresh water and pat dry with a towel.

    * DO NOT USE BLEACH OR ANY DETERGENTS THAT CONTAIN BLEACH!

    * DO NOT USE A BRUSH OR SCOURING PAD!

    * DO NOT MACHINE WASH!

    * HAND WASH AND AIR DRY ONLY!

When it comes to cleaning them you'll appreciate the carhartts. I recently took mine off in 10 minutes or so tossed them in the washing machine and put them back on later in the day. Their not as bad fitting as you think, their just not as perfect/tight fitting as my buddies coverking ones....i've got the mossy oak carhartts...they are one tough seat cover.

Totally missed that you had neoprene even this you stated it  Thanks for the correction and adding the proper care for those. I have a few wet suits and you can definitely ruin them without the proper care and products.
