Can someone who has had experience in shipping wheels, give me a ballpark figure of cost. Please. This would be for 4 OEM SR5 dark wheels. Would I be safe in figuring $125 for all 4 to most parts of the country? ( I am in Missouri). Would UPS be the best, or someone else? Any special packaging advice? I would have to obtain good sturdy boxes -that I know.
Thanks for the help in advance

Prices will vary by carrier. Weight and dimension of the boxes are base factors, distance and 'features' (time, insurance etc) will play big.

You should be able to estimate via using the carriers websites.

Weigh a wheel, figure a box dimension, pick a zip code about the furthest from your location.

Another guesstimate can be had by picking a similar wheel size/weight at a place like TireRack.com and seeing what they charge to ship them to you.

I have bought several sets of wheels on ebay. I would consider (as a buyer) $25 per wheel for shipping to be a good price and $50 not good.

Most people ship in the boxes that their new wheels came in with some extra padding to protect the face of the wheels. One seller put two wheels in wheel boxes inside a much larger box with even more padding.
