Hi quick question (I know I have a lot oops) what is this corner light used for I know it doesn’t come on same time as the actual head lights and the only time I see it on it when I put the key in the ignition without turning it all the way on (engine cranking) I only ask because I’ve got led installed everywhere else and didn’t know if it’s even worth it to replace the corner light bulbs

    They function as parking lights.

There's mods to turn them into blinkers, or have them always on with your headlights, or make them switchbacks, that's how I had mine on my old 1st Gen.

So they just turn on when it’s in park? And I wanted to do the blinker mod but had to many issues with my headlight wiring that I didn’t wanna get into that mess again.

Nah they come on when you turn your headlight switch to the first stop, not all the way till your headlights come on, the halfway point between lights off and lights on.

It's an old school carry over from when people were courteous and would turn their headlights of in parking lots and garages to keep from blinding people walking to and from their vehicles but it was enough illumination to show that you were driving your car and to allow others to see you and not mistake you for a parked car.

Parking lights as in the process of driving around looking to park, not 'parked' lights.

Okay I gotchu now. So it doesn’t provide any illumination so to speak it’s just to turn off your headlights but still let people know your driving/truck is started. So with this being said would it be worth it to install the led bulbs or go ahead and attempt the blinker mod and put the led bulbs in the bottom where the actual blinker/“fog” lights are?

Yup, that's the gist of it.

It's really entirely up to you, the best route in my opinion is to get LED switchbacks in there so they function as turn signals when you are signaling, but then turn white and function as marker or parking lights the rest of the time.

Really it comes down to personal preference but for the most part they will go unnoticed, I still put LEDs in mine.

If I do the switch back will the
    1. DRL wire to the headlight or what?
    2. Will the white light be in with the headlight or wil it be the same case where it’s only a parking light?
    3. Would this mean I just have 4 blinkers?
Thanks for all the help man!

You'd have to look up switchback led kit for your truck and possibly year specifically but they're usually plug and play.

So no you would loose your bumper blinkers as the plug would be attached to the switchback harness.

I've seen it done where the corners become the blinkers and the old bumper blinkers get replaced with fog lights. :notsure:
