Should I be worried , do they need to be replaced.
They only have 5k on them , I got a alignment and tire rotations last week , they told me my tie rods needs replacement. I changed the tie rods this morning and seen my tire like this .
This was the rear that was rotated to the front , only driven on it less than 100 miles , since the tire rotation, it was rubbing on the spindle bad . 744BAA02-26B4-4BEA-84C2-98B6543A2EB8.jpgF4A6ADE2-CD3C-47F0-860A-56A800EC816D.jpg 6F88D316-A48A-452D-9F67-44D1190AA762.jpg

Take the tire where you purchased it. They can tell you.

Life’s lessons have taught me, yes, use it as a spare or replace it.

I have seen lots of tires with a lot more sidewall damage than that last until the tread was bald. I personally would run them and not worry about it and I am anal about safety and maintenance. Worst case you can just run it only on the rear and a blow out would not be catastrophic. But IMO it looks fine.

I’ll take it back to the tire shop to see what they say next weekend , since I’m need alignment again.
This tire here was the one that was in the front for 5k miles now rotated to the back.
