Cooper St Maxx 255/80r17 on 9 inch wheel

Will a st maxx 255/80r17 fit on a 17x9 rim?

 

it should say on their website

 

9 inch is too wide I think. Might unseat the bead when aired down

7.5 max, maybe 8

Skinny tire, wide wheel no beauno

 

Guys are running them on 8.5 inch wide wheels. Doesn't appear to be a problem

 

just wanted to follow up. Did end up going with the 9 inch wheel and it has worked just fine

 

they have been on for 6k miles now

 

Nice thanks for the info, have been debating buying a new set of wheels but might keep the black rhino's (9" wide) and try skinnies. They don't look goofy at all? Have you aired down with them?

 

They look pretty goo actually! Here is a pic! And actually in this pic they are aired down to 14 psi
