Anybody running these new AT's from Cooper yet? Haven't seen any in person yet but they looks very promising. Lightweight just like the old Discoverer XLT, ex. 285/75R16 coming in only 53lbs per Tirerack. Decent siping, good biting lugs, AND severe snow service rated.

@Discount Tire: The Cooper and Tire Rack websites don't currently show it, but the Discount Tire website shows a 265/75R16 size (Item #161878). Would you be able to confirm that this size for the Stronghold AT is currently available?

anyone have hands on these yet? Need new tires and usually go with the falken at3/4. These are about the same price but 10lbs lighter so interested. Wondering how much that will help with bad mpg and brakes. 10lb extra rotating mass is a lot of weight difference

These are a top contender for what I’ll put on my 2024 in 285/70R17

Cooper used to make a good tire. Now that they've been bought out by Goodyear, all of their products are just slight remolds of existing Goodyear tires. This one, for example, is just a copy of the Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT.

Don't they also own Mickey Thompson? I like the Baja Boss. Those are supposed to be good tires.

First time I have seen this tire and thought it looked like a Goodyear Wrangler tread and was the most GY looking tire Cooper has done since the buy out. GY got a little sporty with the side wall and the Cooper Cooper script made me chuckle.

I put them on my new 2014 this week. I've always had great luck with Cooper, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until I see otherwise.

Really? Sure looks like the exact same tread pattern, just rotated slightly.

The Goodyear has longitudinal grooving and blocks are running longitudinally as well. The Coopers blocks are aligned across the tire and likewise the grooving. Ive had the Goodyears and they sucked ass. Replaced them rather quickly.
There are significant other differences as well with ability.

I can say that the compound is a lot different.

I posted a review for the guys in the 3rd gen forum.

Not saying anyone is right or wrong but from my 600 plus miles off-road in everything but snow( it’s snowing now in Chile and I’m heading to another relay station in the am so I can review snow handling) in a week this is a completely different tire.

Well, I'm hoping you're right. It would be a shame to see the otherwise decent Cooper name and quality go down the drain with Goodyear's mismanagement.

Looks like a really good tread pattern to me. Plenty of water evacuators, and decent siping. I don't expect snow performance to be incredible however, but I'm eager to hear your opinion.

Looks like these are replacing the AT3 XLT? The XLT only comes in 4 sizes now for 17" wheels where the Stronghold comes in 9 sizes for 17s. I'm due for new tires and the size I wanted is no longer available for the XLT.
