I just got my 265/70R16 Rugged Treks mounted (knives out) on some KMC Trail wheels. Tire Hack used a lot of weight to get these balanced, one of the wheels has 8.25 ounces of lead on it. I'd be interested in others' experiences in this regard. Are you all seeing a lot of weight needed to get these tires to balance?

These bad boys look good. Sorry for the dark photo.

Solid setup! Dont think i noticed anything out of the ordinary on mine (p-rated 265/70/17s on Ray10s). I have had mine rebalanced a few times, but i blame that on the dead dear carcass i ran over going 55 lol. Took me about 3 balances after that to get them perfect again.

Have almost the same set up. Method 308s vs Method 701s. Looking at getting this tire, how are the MPGs with the little more aggressive tread? I know it will be different for everyone, just getting an estimate lol. Currently have 265/75r16 Hercules Avalanche in a 10ply (studless snow) and get anywhere between 17-18, hoping that with a little harder compound to have that improve lol.

What are your opinions on noise level now that you have had them for a while and have good mileage on them? They hype about the quiet comfort of a AT but performance of a knobby tire. I'm running Wildpeaks now and shopping for replacements when they die. I spotted these and kinda to like them. Even Tire rack has a decent noise rating for them.

I'm not very sensitve to noise, because I'm usually blasting my radio...

I feel like they've gotten slightly louder as I put more miles on them, but they're still relatively quiet. I regularly make calls from my truck (radio off) and I've never once thought about the tire noise while talking. I would still rate them as a decently quiet tread. No ragerts!

Installed new Cooper Rugged Trek 265/70/17 tires. So far they are great. Comfy ride and minimal noise. I hear more wind noise than tire.

I went blades for my rugged treks 265/70/r17. Mounted July 2.

July 3: Santa Rosa peak via 7S02. Encountered hikers, campers, and dirt bikes on the trail. Will definitely return for the extra few miles to Toro Peak

Those are SL rated, I do wish I had gotten the E rated ones for when I'm loaded down with gear. I've done a ton of off-road, and they haven't let me down yet. I wish these were made in the 285/75R17 or I would order them again, but I think I'm going to change it up next time.

These are a nice looking AT, do they have the snow peak rating for winter?

Does it affect the ride that much when loaded down? How’s the mpg? I was thinking of eventually upgrading to these or the toyo at3 sl but these look so much better and I’d trust the deeper tread off road too

Yes they have the 3-peak snow rating. It's the main reason I chose these. I get 15-17 MPG most days, 12-15 MPG if I'm loaded down with motorcycles and gear or towing a trailer.
