Anyone have any experience with these good or bad? Saw a Tacoma in the parking lot today and I liked the looks of them. I was considering BFG's AT to replace my Rugged Trails but these looked pretty sweet and are far cheaper
    It looks like.

Use: daily driver pavement, light offroad fire roads, gravel, camping etc. just want a better looking/performing tire than the Rugged Trails once they wear out.

Thanks DD. by store brand do you mean like Kirkland for Costco type thing? Would you consider Coopers to be of lesser quality?

I've been using Cooper tires for a while. In my opinion they are every bit as good as the BFG or Goodyear offerings for a lot less money. I have a set of AT/3's on my Tacoma and Wrangler. I have 27,000 miles on the set on the truck and figure I still have 1/2 the usable tread. They are an AT, not a mud tire, but have worked much better than I expected the times I've been in mud. I couldn't ask for a better snow/ice tire and the on-pavement ride is acceptable. Some noise, but not bad. It is an AT tire, not a highway or mud tire so some noise is expected. They do develop a flat spot if the vehicle hasn't been driven for a day or so. It takes a few miles to work its self out then they ride great. I've seen other, more expensive tires do the same.

Cooper runs a rebate a couple times a year, currently $70 through October.

Photo taken earlier this summer. I upsized to 265/75/16's with these too and like the size

bilstein set at 1.75, Racho 5000 rear with 4 leaf kit, floor mats, high lift jack, pull hook in hitch, bed rail corner braces, severe duty brake pads and devil horns on the grill....
those should be just fine for you, but look for the more mainstream AT/3, been good for me...

I've had them on mine for a while now. No complaints at all. Service at Discount Tire is always top notch. Free lifetime balance and rotations plus tread life warranty. They are great on and off road. My only beef is I like a more aggressive sidewall just for looks, but they are a great tire. I actually like the tread pattern over the AT/3. But that is the most comparable tire.

A few guys I work with are running the ATP's as well and are very happy with them.

Thanks guys....Pollock, the sidewalls appear more aggressive than the Rugged Trails, is that not the case? I only looked briefly

Too poor to list anything interesting.
The AT/3s seem similar, but the ATPs look a little more agressive.

I have the ATPs on my truck and love them. Just running 265, but I've been impressed with the results. And especially for the price. I have about 20,000 miles on them. No issues with chunking or uneven wear. They're not loud at all. And they feel amazing on the road.

I have had the ATP's on my Tacoma for about 11,000 miles. They are a great tire, no complaints at all. I have read so many positive reviews on them before I purchased, I can't imagine you would be disappointed. Honestly, either the AT3 or the ATP's would make you happy.

I've got 35k on my ATPs and I am very happy with them. I'm expecting another 25k out of them the wear is very minimal.
The tire is much smoother than the last set of bfgs I had. I will never look back.

    Many & varied

Pepboys carries them too. The tire guy at our local PB told me Cooper was discontinuing the AT3s and only offering the ATPs. I laughed and left. Still, they offered me $783 OTD before the $70 rebate, the buy 3 get 1 free rebate (=$147) and 10% off at checkout. Oh wait, I meant Adventurer AT, not ATP.

How well do they do in snow and ice? I'm needing tires. I currently have some form of firestone discovery tire. And they still have good tread, but traction sucks. On a wet high in 70 degree weather it feels like riding on an ice patch. They have to go.

I had the ATPs on my 01 4Runner. That thing was like a snowmobile, best vehicle I ever owned in the snow.

I had a set on my fj cruiser. 285/70/17. Amazing in snow and easily got 65k out of them.

Based off your reviews, I broke down and bought a set today. They seemed to ride well, and do not make a lot of noise. Cooper is currently offering a 70$ rebate. That's an added plus!
