Just put on a set of Cooper At3 4s tires in 265/75r16. Look and ride great so far. Taking them off road next weekend. Also got another TRD pro wheel/tire for the spare.

Thanks! I appreciate the write-up you did! Pushed me over the edge to get the Coopers.

Enjoy! I’ve gotta a few thousand miles on mine now. Will likely replace with the same thing when they wear - though they do seem to be wearing really slow.

After reading through almost every page on the Wildpeak thread and as much as I could regarding these Coopers, I’ve decided to go with these: Cooper At3 4s in 265/75/16. I agree that the Wildpeak has a more aggressive looking sidewall, but there are too many issues noted regarding balance, quick wear, and stiffness after 10,000 miles (BTW I’m not knocking Wildpeaks, just sharing the consensus). I ordered through Discount Tire and the tech said these Coopers have a high customer satisfaction rate and have had no issues with balancing (watch me have issues haha). I get them mounted this Saturday. I’ll post some pictures then.

Enjoy! This week I’m on vacation in the mountains and staying in a spot that requires a 2 miles steep drive climbing 2,000ft on loose rock, gravel, dirt, and mud... hardest paces I’ve put these tires through and they are incredible and very capable off-road while being smooth as butter on the highway. Fantastic traction

I can now definitely confirm the off-road prowess of these smooth-riding highway tires... I will never need anything more aggressive than these. In the mountains of western NC we were treated to some torrential downpours from what was then Tropical Storm Michael... literally a river running down the trail to our mountaintop camp an any resemblance of maintenance on that trail long gone with deep, muddy eroded ruts all over. These tires gripped and climbed right up the 2000ft climb that day with zero issue... after that trip my wife proclaimed that I must always drive a Taco

Thanks all for this thread. I have stock 2017 Tacoma TRD pro and at 32k having a bit of slip with my stock tires on wet pavement. Looking to replace and my local Dobbs told me about the At3 4s. Price is way better than ko2 and probably more in line for my needs. Very disappointed with the wear on my wranglers. I live in the St. Louis area and we may or may not get snow, but we have gotten some good ice.

I ‘ll Add some more feedback. I just hit the 1000 mile mark on these tires. Have run them on the highway up to 75mph, in the pouring rain from The tropical storm, and some very light off-roading on some muddy fire roads. So far they are very smooth and quiet on the highway and grip like hell in the rain. Not a hint of hydroplaning or instability. The muddy fire trail was done in 2wd the whole time and never felt any slippage . So far impressed. Planning on putting them up against some tougher trails at the end of the month.

I’ve installed 265/75/16 at3 4s and love them! Discount Tire (America’s Tire) had no problem mounting and balancing. I’ve driven in town and freeway, no issues.E8DD26FE-9EF6-4C92-B62E-77F7D0C39207.jpg 2931AEF3-9FE9-4D7E-96DE-393C33EB7A80.jpg I haven’t noticed a difference in road noise. The ride is more plush, comfortable. I also haven’t noticed a difference in MPG’s. The tires are much more aggressive in person and added a whole new look to the truck. I plan on taking them in snow and will report back after some rain. Right now Cooper has a rebate through October.

Hi all! 1st post here (for a reason), but I felt like I should at least drop in and say "Hi" and "Thanks!". I do not own a Tacoma and havent for about 15 years, so please dont hurt me. I had a 2003 Pre-Runner back when I lived in CA, so I hope that counts! Anyhoo, we are still very much a Toyota family but I do currently own a 2018 GMC Sierra All-Terrain for my truck (a 2015 Sierra All-Terrain before that) and recently picked up the Cooper Discoverer A/T3 4S after reading up on the previous generation A/T3 tires. Those OEM Goodyear SR-A tires really do stink they put on the GM trucks and I wast going to wait 24,000 miles to replace them like I did on my last Sierra. Winter is right around the corner!

Anyway, your thread here with all your input and pictures really helped sealed the deal for me on the Coopers. So I wanted to say thanks! Maybe some day I will own another Tacoma. ;)

Just ordered a set of the 245/75/16 4s for my 2017. I can’t believe how fast the stock Hankooks wore, only at 16.5k miles and they’re more than half gone. We started getting our first hard frosts last week and they were terrible on the first bits of ice I’ve encountered. My last set of Coopers were great (CS5 Ultra Touring) and it’s nice to be able to buy an American made tire too.

I just had my cooper at3 4s put on my TRD pro. Looks as good as the stock, only put a few miles on them but already see a difference in the ride and handling to the positive. No real road noise, can’t wait to see how the perform in rain and snow. Dobbs was great for the install.

Congrats! I'm very happy w/ the tires still and after putting about 9k on them, they still look brand new and have exceeded my expectations in all driving conditions on/off road thus far!

okay folks the verdict is in. these AT 4s check every box. I've put 6,000 on them and can't find anything even so so. factor in price point made in USA. truly checks every box.

We just got our first ice storm, but fortunately I’m several thousand miles away in Albuquerque instead of in Alaska. I’ll be going from 3/4 worn OE Hankooks to the 4Ss two days after I get back home so I’ll be able to give a good reporting on their winter performance soon.

Yes please report in about their snow Performance!
I'm currently still waiting paciently with my order on a new set of tires as winter is unusually late this year in Germany. In Berlin, even by night temperatures won't drop below 7° celsius and this should continue thru november... so by now my Cooper AT3s (the old/regular ones) are doing fine. No need to swap them out before december.
For me personally, other options to consider are
    1) Pirellis new AT Plus
    2) Nokians well proven Rotiiva AT
    3) a dedicated set of winter tires... though I doubt I will need that in the climate zone I live in and in a city where roads get plowed instantly. Winter rated AT's should be fine.
    Cheers
    Stefan

Thanks OP for this awesome review. Ordered these today in 265/70/16 should be on by the end of the week. Should be perfect for my driving style and conditions.
