    Hey folks,

I couldn't find this in the Cooper megathread, but I know a bunch of other people have these tires on their Tacos, so I'm curious as to what you all run for cold tire pressure on these?

Door placard says 32 PSI, but I assume that's just for the SR5 245/75/16 stock wheels, no? I'm wondering because the tire shop filled them up to around 34-35 cold, where I had the stock Firestone ones 30-32, and now my ride has that stiffer "feel every crack in the pavement" ride again.

Is it safe to still go with 32 cold PSI with these, especially with the oversized tire?

Otherwise I love these tires so far, I just want to have them last as long as possible.

Adjusted recommended pressure is 27 psi.

That seems on the low end, do you have a reference for that PSI?

    OEM tire is a P-metric P245/75/16/112; @ 32 psi it has a load capacity of 2,172 lbs

Your new tire is a euro-metric 245/75/16/116; @ 27 psi it has a load capacity of 2,178 lbs

My reference is the Toyo tire pressure PDF.
There are also online calculators...just got to make sure you enter the correct info.

Interesting, I didn't realize the euro-metric difference with P245 and 245 and mine being 265/75/16. Thanks for the info, it does still seem a bit low though, 27 PSI

    Think of it this way...
    The OEM euro-metric 265/70/16/112 has a load capacity 2,149 lbs @ 30 psi.
Now, you increase the load index rating from 112 rating to 116, requiring 3 less psi.
ETA...and you went from 70 to 75 series.
