I will preface this with the fact that my truck is stock and does not have any lift or anything that would affect the tires. I purchased my truck with 14k miles in 2020. At the time it had the stock tires which were Goodyear Wranglers with Kevlar. I never really gave them a fair shake because I wasn't too impressed with how much tread was already missing after only 14k miles and I replaced them with the Cooper AT3 4S tires before winter. I had experience with the tires on my last truck so I already knew they were very good in the winter. It should be noted that the Coopers had the 3-peak Mountain Snowflake while the Goodyears do not.

    COOPER TIRES:
I had the Cooper tires for 85k miles before replacing them a few days ago. In that time, I had no punctures or flats and had taken them in places including Gemini Bridges Road in Moab, among other places. The first thing I noticed upon getting the tires was that the truck felt squirrelier on the highway. I wasn't actually losing traction, but it felt like I wasn't as planted and did not feel like I had been used to on my old truck. The outer treads on both sides of the front tires started wearing kind of oddly after a few thousand miles. I blamed that mainly on two things. For one: Toyota overfilling the tires in the summer and me not bothering to change that a few times. For two: Toyota also does not do any sort of cross when they rotate the tires. I don't really know how to describe the wear other than it was as if the outside lugs were only contacting the roadway on the front portion of the lug and blistering up because of the uneven heating.

Winter traction was excellent on everything but glare ice, in which case nothing would work well. They aren't winter tires by any means, but I absolutely loved them as a do-it-all tire.

Some other things I noticed were that my speedometer showed approximately 2-3 MPH higher than what the GPS showed for speed. I also had a few vibrations which improved with proper tire pressure and when I had them rebalanced after 50k miles. I'm sure some of that was also the roads I drive on.

I finally replaced them after 85k miles. I could have likely gotten a bit more out of them, however winter is coming up and I had an alignment issue which caused some premature wear to the insides of two of the tires (which has since been addressed).

    GOODYEAR TERRITORY AT:
I had been interested in trying the Goodyear Territory AT since seeing them on the new Tacomas. Near as I can tell, they're no more than a rebranded version of the Goodyear Wranglers with Kevlar with a more aggressive looking sidewall.

Initial impressions are that the truck feels much less harsh over bumps than it did with the Coopers. Granted, the direct comparison is between 85k tires and brand new ones, but I feel like I noticed that when the Coopers were put on initially as well. MPG seems a touch worse, but that could be partly the weather and time of year it is as well. I haven't been able to do my normal commute with them yet and it has been pouring rain as well. I also noted that my speedometer reads accurate to GPS again. The vibration issue is also gone. I can't tell if the issue was the tires being out of balance, or the wear issues on the outer lugs, or a combination. But, again, these Goodyear's are brand new so time will tell how they wear in.
