There are plenty of threads. Use the search feature it took 10 seconds to find this thread I'm taking a quote from.

That should be enough to get you started on the right path.

I used 2004 Double Cab Limited door components to convert my 1998 Extended Cab. My truck came with manual locks, windows, and mirrors and I converted them all to power with OEM parts.

    Here’s my write up. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ofit-conversion-build-thread-write-up.455447/

I’ve made and sold a few conversion systems, but I haven’t had the time to do anymore recently.

My system plugs directly into the kick panel connectors and adapts to the OEM door harnesses.

Here’s the last system I made. The customer ordered it for power windows, and keyless entry. You can see connectors IH1 and IH2. Missing are connectors IL1 and IL2 which control the speakers, courtesy light, and power mirrors.

Think I spent a whole night drawing up that main power door schematic. That is the brain of my whole system.

Full size render is on that thread I linked.

Aw c’mon, it’s not that bad. It’s great fun. Wiring is my favorite thing to do. I make automotive wiring harnesses for a living.

This is what the inside of my first control box looks like.

When I started making my own retrofit system, I just went into the FSM and started tracing each circuit and labeling each wire.

Here’s the power window master switch schematic.

And the power door lock system.

And some of the power door schematics from the FSM that I adapted for my diagrams.

I did this all the hard way. I wanted OEM everything so I used all OEM parts and all OEM wiring (in exception of my own wiring).

If you use those universal window or lock kits it’s far easier.

Ya i think i might go for the universal kit. Going all OEM is not that much of priority for me. But i reallu appriciate the effort an knowledge you shared with me. Who knows i might change my mind one day an opt to go OEM too haha
