2018 tacoma SR5. need to replace the OEM tires. considering the Firestone Destination A/T2 and the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo2. I do not go off roading. 99% city/highway driving. I go ice fishing and one spot is a tote road. when there is snow, it is unplowed. sometimes there is 8". Which do you think would serve me best?

going to purchase new from Costco. even cheaper than Tire Rack. It's down to these 2.

My old 2nd gen came with brand new Revo2 from the previous owner, they were decent roady all terrains. Nice enough - I would compare them to something like the Yok Geolanders AT.

Currently have the Firestone AT/2 on my truck, previous set were the Dueler Revo 2. Not impressed with the Duelers as they seem to wear pretty quickly. I only had them for about 25k miles. Have had the destination AT tires on my previous Chevy as well ,and they seem to hold up real well and I have been happy with performance. I never have a problem during hunting season in some pretty deep snow. Even though I have had them when I go ice fishing they don't seem very good when it actually comes to catching any fish though. Have not found a brand that works for that yet.

How many miles you got on the Firestones? They both have 60,000 mile warranty

I used to run Destinations as a year-round tire. Decent in the snow and ice when new but not so much after 20k miles. The biggest issue with the Firestones is the thin sidewall. If you are not off roading or working on construction sites, you will be fine. Maybe look into Hankooks if you want a little better grip in the snow and get best bang for the buck.

Only about 12k so far. They are wearing much better than the Revos at this point. Used to run them to about 40k on my other truck, but I also don't wear them all the way down as I use the truck frequently offroad. Probably could have got 60 if I went to the wear marks

    Both are very much similar.

The Firestone le2 have really impressed me, they last forever and I’ve yet to see one with issues on a customers truck.

Getting from Costco why not Michelin? They run circles around those other 2.

Been in over a foot of snow with goodyear adventure tires on my sr5 with no issues using its 4wd. The truck is amazing, far more capable than the tundra i had. I would think the firestone destination a/t tires just as good or better.

I have the Revo's on my Tacoma and I would not buy again. They are quiet, but have had a lot of trouble balancing. I have about 25k on them and it has been an issue from day 1. For that price, they should be perfect.

    Enough for now
I’ve got the Bridgestone dueler a/t revo3s and will not be buying again. They are quiet and have done well off road but not so good in slick or wet conditions and at 30k miles the tread is really worn. I am replacing them in the spring

I had the same experience with bridgestone revos. They wear way to quick making them useless. General at2 grabbers are awesome for deep snow, but their not so great in sticky mud once they get some wear on them.

I would never cheap out on tires. They're your first connection obviously to earth. Get the best you can afford. You have a nice truck and cheapo tires is the last place you want to save a buck. You don't say if you have 4x4. Never use chains. They're a total pain and can cause more damage than good. Use 4x4 on snow and or ice.

i love my destinations and i do 99% on-road driving. does great off-road too though. i've driven over glass bottles, broken glass, chunks of steel, and had drywall screws 1/4" deep in the tread and still have yet to have a puncture. great MPG too. honestly, can't ask for much more from tires.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Bridgestone truck tires in general are a pain in the ass to balance and keeep a balanced. Never been impressed. The firestones on my dads truck are good for the tire they are and I would recommend them for highway use

I had Destination A/T's on my first gen they were excellent for tread wear and comfort.
