I have a Bak Revolver as well. It fits my needs, and was within my budget. You just gotta decide what it is you want out of one, and how much you are willing to spend.

Look over here for lots of info, and Q&A in there too; https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/tonneau-covers-caps-and-shells.198/

Had a BAKFlip on my Gen 2 and loved it. I could cover the bed or use the whole bed, very versatile.

After a lot of research, I installed the Bakflip MX4 on my '18 Off Road last weekend. I mountain bike with my family and have a minimum of 4 bikes we need to put in the back of my truck on most rides. Most folding covers would have to be removed to accomodate the 4 bikes hung on the tailgate with a tailgate pad. The Bakflip folds up all the way giving access to the entire truck bed without having to remove the cover. Folded up entirely, it leans agains the cab of the truck (supported by integrated struts so you can travel at freeway speeds). It's very water resistant, has a mat black finish, and will support 400lbs of distributed weight on top of the cover should you need to put something on top of it. I really liked the Diamondback and almost went with it, but i would have had to mount a bike rack to the top of it or use a hitch rack for my bikes, which I wasn't crazy about.

I like the bakflip a lot but with much comparisons.. the undercover ultra flex does almost the exact same.. but has a 5 year warranty oppose to a 3 year.. I’m still torn between the 2..

Yeah it's a tough call. They are both good. They are very similar. The only difference I see is the 5 year vs the 3 year warranty. I bought mine on Bakflips "Christmas in July" sale which got the price down to $850 out the door with shipping and tax included, they might be willing to give you the same deal, if cost is a factor at all.

I just got a BAKFLIP MX4 installed. Seems like a product.
The undercover seems like a good one as well. Tough choice. I like the matte finish on the MX4 and the ability to lean out all the way against the cab. But better warranty on the other. Can't go wrong with either.
Got mine bought/installed for $925. Don't know if that compares to California prices though .

I ordered the Undercover Armour Flex.. the girl on the phone convinced me upgrade from the Ultra cover.. she said it was a badass product.. brand new to the Undercover line of Tonneaus.. I paid $50 more than the Ultra.. I figured “fuck it.. go big” so I guess time will tell

How are you liking your Undercover Armour Flex? I've narrowed it down to either the Armour Flex or Ultra Flex. Like the low profile and build quality. Any regrets?

I was looking at both the Bakflip and Undercover options but I found the Undercover UltraFlex installed for $790, so I went with that.

But I am bummed that I cannot use my OEM adjustable tiedowns in the factory rails with the cover on.

I went with Undercover Ultra Flex after visiting the truck store and inspecting them all. They are very similar in many aspects. Keep in mind you are not getting a bullet proof, water tight, super secure cover. After reading 100s of posts about this topic it's critical to understand this. I am amazed at how expensive the BaK and Undercover are for what you are actually getting.

Also, I shopped around and then ordered through AutoAnything from the sales guy who is on this site. Search him out to save money and enjoy a simple sales experience.

I ended up going with the Undercover Armour Flex. I really like the low profile look and LINE X finish. I also ordered mine from AutoAnything. I found the build quality to be pretty good except a couple of parts on the side rails are made from cheap plastic (drain tube fittings and the clips for the support rods). Both of these pieces were damaged during shipping. I contacted the guys at AutoAnything and they arranged to have another set of rails shipped out, only to find the same plastic parts were damaged again during the second shipment. It's like they don't believe in using any packing material whatsoever. So I'm now waiting on a third set to arrive. Don't get me wrong, the cover looks great on the truck. I have no regrets on my selection choice. I'm just having a hard time getting pass the damaged parts. I will say this, both AutoAnything and Undercover have been good to deal with on getting the replacement parts to me.
