Where can I find a comprehensive diagram for everything under the hood? Hopefully something 3D with the ability to zoom in and see more details? Google results were really crappy, I thought.

    1. Knowing what everything is under the hood when looking at it
    2. Knowing where to locate a component when someone talks about it.

    Thanks

I was looking around the other day and did see something on autozone or advance auto website that had a very detailed diagram but now I can't find the thing.

Not comprehensive, but lets you take a cross-sectional look at a 1GR-FE

Here's some hyperlinks some PDF's of the 2006 Tacoma (should be applicable for all 2nd gens) provided by Toyota. Hope this helps. If you find anything in your engine bay or anywhere else not covered by the manual, PM me and I'd be happy to help identify what it is and it's function for you.

Section 1.1: Operation of instruments and controls

    Section 7.1: Do-it-yourself maintenance -Introduction
Section 7.2: Do-it-yourself maintenance - Engine and Chassis
    Section 7.3: Do-it-yourself maintenance - Electrical components
    Section 8: Specifications
    Where I obtained the PDF's

It's not a 3D diagram, but it's what I could give you. Hope you find what you're looking for

@TacoMan33 thanks for these. Can you repost 7.3 section with the electrical components. It's not working for me.

If you asking what that part is, it’s the secondary air injection pump.

If you are trying to identify a part on your truck you could simply use the "Google" app on your phone.. they have something called Google lens on the app and you can point it at an object under the hood or of a photo you have taken and it should give you results that will allow you to pinpoint/identify what you are looking at.
