    Hello friends,

Does anyone know what the color marks mean on the radiator hoses?

I saw a you tube video that said the white marks should go the engine side. but I don't think that's correct.

Can someone explain what the markings are for, and does it matter?

Thank you all in advance, Peter in San Antonio.

I have always assumed that the various color paint dots (in many places on the truck) are left by the factory inspectors, showing that the part/assembly has passed inspection.

I’m certain it’s marked to align it to the raised “stop” on the male end, so the hose isn’t twisted/stressed.

Yellow is to engine, white away.

Manufacturing redundancy, most hoses can fit both ways, but shouldn't.
