i swapped my stock muffler to a flowmaster 40 serious. It already sounds pretty good with just having the flowmaster on it and everything else is stock. But I want a more aggressive sound. I was wondering would it increase the exhaust noise if i add a Cold air intake with my flowmaster on would it sound better? Or does it sound better with just having the intake on its own with stock muffler?

I replaced my paper air filter with a K&N High Flow filter and my truck sounds great. I don't have the name brand 40 series, but the Summit Racing brand (the FM patent expired years ago).

Yes...installing a CAI will increase the induction noise. That's a plus or minus depending on your taste in "noise". Sounds like you may like it.

Under mid to WOT....yes, the induction noise will probably sound good. At light throttle and idle....you'll hear little to none of the CAI's "noise".
