Well, I have searched throughout and have not found a thread discussing Progressive vs Linear.

I do understand what a Progressive and Linear Spring is by definition, but what are the benefits of one over the other? What gives a better ride?

Eibach Springs and TRD OR Springs are Progressive. What are OME?

The sport are linear the OR have a progressive wind.
    The 1.6 Eibach are linear.

I would guess the benefit to progressive is to give them a softer feel for the first inch or so of compression.
I have never been a big fan unless you have a lot of travel to use the progressive rate.
I tried a set of progressive springs on a differnt application with about 4" of travel and it didn't work well.
