    Hey everyone,

Curious if anyone has had experience with this before. I have a 2018 TRD off-road, which has bilstein 6112s, fox 2.0 rears, and Dakar’s. When turning my wheel while moving there is a faint clunking noise that I can feel with my feet. I thought it was my ball joints at first, but after greasing them heavily I no longer think they are the culprits. Possibly the steering rack? I have gone underneath the truck and everything seems to be very secure. Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!

I would go and check/retorque all the bolts that were related to those suspension upgrades and see where that puts you. Something is likely loose.

Check the bolts on the skid pan. When I had my suspension installed they over torqued the four bolts to the front skid pan.

once I torqued to spec the clunk went away.

everything is torqued to spec. I have had this suspension on my truck for maybe 20k miles now and this noise just developed. Taking to the dealership tomorrow to hopefully diagnose it

I would jack up the front end and see if you have any play in the wheels. If not, pull them off and check IFS for play.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Check the frame bolts that connect the body to the frame. There is one under your left foot. The nut is in the kick panel. Mine was loose years ago and made a clunking noise and tightening it solved the problem.

Well, dealership gave me the classic could not replicate, when I offered to take a tech out to show them they refused due to policy.

I wont drive with customers anymore, I hated it anyway haha.

If you can try to get someone to record it. But if its difficult to replicate its probably not a huge deal.

Because of company policy or because of insane customer driving?
How about if YOU were the driver?

I’m experiencing the same. I’ve noticed my sway bar has some scratches on it. Appears to be rubbing against something but I can’t identify it. I’m running 265/75/17 Toyos with 6/5 bilstein.

your swaybar may be coming in contact with your shock body. I have a spacer for my swaybar that gets it out of the way, Id check that if i were you

    list is growing fast
Check that the Sway bar may be contacting the skid plate ? Sometimes the skids get pushed up and start rubbing on stuff.

Mine does it when I turn. I just had it in for suspension rebuild and my lower control arm caster bolt needs to be replaced. They said that is a possibility since it isn't holding full torque at the moment. The shop also said sometimes the lower arms shift a tiny bit making that sound as the bushings wear a bit. They didn't seem overly concerned about the sound.
