Which AGM charger is everyone planning on using to service/top up their new batteries? How often should we hook it up if we daily drive the truck?

Reading up and since the third gens use the ecu to control the alternator, there is no way to trick the alternator with the "alt s" fuse trick.

I want to make this battery last as long as possible!

The 1.1 amp model or a larger amp model? Looks like they have all the way up to a 28 amp model.

 

Would a higher amp one charge faster?

 

you will need a charger that is at least 7amps on a Northstar battery. A 1.1amp battery tender the battery wont even know its hooked up to one. We are a distributor for NOCO, so we can always make deals on chargers. We sell the 15000 and the 26000 chargers and keep them in stock. I never received a shipping notification directly, but since I am signed up for the UPS Home Delivery (account on UPS.com linked to my address), I received notification last night that my battery is arriving today!

I was a bit confused as the sender label is GP CAR AUDIO and not Samoorian Supply, but whatever.

In the 3rd gen Tacoma we can't change the charging voltage(alt is controlled by the ECU) so I plan on hooking the truck up before and after a camping trip to top the battery off.

 

Told her I’d get her one of those jump start packs. Looks like I’ll just gift the one I have now ..

 

just a heads up guys, we have all batteries that have been paid for shipped out, except the ones that were paid for today. We just ran out of 27F, and the lead time we were given is 7/19. We have plenty more on order, we just werent expecting to sell this many 27F based on previous group buys. We can still take orders there is just going to be a delay in the shipment.

I didn't receive a tracking number like some others have mentioned. I also checked my UPS account, but don't see anything scheduled to be delivered.

 

Is it too late to be put down for a 27f? Was In the market to buy a battery and decided to look to see it there were any group buys going on first.

 

We can still get you in but we can't ship any 27f until 7/19. We ran out the other day....
