My lights for my climate control don't always illuminate. It's usually the right one for blower location selection but sometimes it's all of them. Does anyone else have this problem? I've noticed if I turn my lights on and one side doesn't light up, I can smack it and it will come back on so I know the bulb works. Just wondering if there's a fix for this issue

I'll double check but I'm pretty sure I already did. It's been ongoing for a while and didn't know if it was a common issue. Thank you

I think it is fairly common. Most I have heard replace the bulb and get it working. I tried that and it only worked for a while. I tried to go led. I ended up soldering the led to the board. Wasn't easy but it's been working ever since. Good luck.

Its probably going to go come down to a poor design of the bulb base, that is resulting in a contact issue.
There isn’t much that actually makes contact. You might be able to take a pick and pry the little wire contacts up a bit to make better contact?

I think the 2012+ trucks went with led in these spots.
So, I kind of think the problem was “known”.

Here is a picture. It’s hard to explain. But I feel there could have been a better design than the one used.

In my '07 I was having the same issue, would work some times, and some times not and if I gave it a smack it would come on. Eventually it wouldn't come on even after a solid love tap. Once I changed the bulb I never have had another problem with it. YMMV...

Often 'smacking' an incandescent bulb just bounces a broken filament back together and it 're-welds' itself for a while.
