The clicking noise only happens when I back into park and turn the wheel into my spot. I have taken a look and haven't seen anything out the norm.I have heard the noise when I was on stock suspension and I recently installed my eibach and dirt king uca's and I still hear the noise but its not all the time.

Not sure but isn’t that something to do with control arm bolt torque or bushings?

CV joint clicking noise? Or noise as you're turning the wheel?

You might want to try to determine which side the clicking is coming from and start re-torquing all suspension components.

I'm thinking its the CV joint but would you be able to tell by visually inspecting? Its only coming from the right side , If I am parked and I move the steering wheel theres no noise

It's only from the right side. I had my suspension installed for about 2 weeks now , I told the shop I'd be back for them to check my specs after 500 miles.

You mentioned that the clicking was happening when everything was stock so it's most likely not from the components you just upgraded. It could be the ball joint or tie rods not torqued all the way.

It's your brake pads. I had same noise. Pull pins and pads, new pins and back of pad/shims. Apply brake grease to pins, back of pads and shims. This solved it for me.

Apparently its something normal for tacos. The holes on the rotors are a little bigger than the wheel studs so when you apply the brakes the rotor hits the studs. This happens every time you apply the brakes for the first time in one direction. Not sure if im making sense but i had the same question when i got my 2019 SR5.

It does sound like brake slap. Mine seemed to get louder in last year or so.

I’m hoping it is bc when I did this I didn’t apply any braking until I heard it. I’ll put some break grease and see if it helps.

Maybe i need my eyes checked, but i think your alignment cam moved alittle. I would recommend checking your LCA bolts, ensure they are torqued correctly that noise is similar to what comes from an under torqued LCA bolt.

That’s what I thought too but I kept watching the video and don’t see any movement. Im going to mark them and see if they move.

Make sure you clean everything good, then grease re install. Road grime builds up on factory installed grease. It drove me crazy, till I figured it out.

That is not normal. If the rotor can move you have serious problems and the braking force would snap wheel studs. The tightness of the rims being torqued by the lug nuts keeps the rotor from moving and that is on all vehicles. All rotors ever made have larger holes than the wheel studs they go over.

I might of misunderstood or even misinterpreted the information I had gathered. But what you’re saying makes sense. The rotor should not move from its place at all.

    edit: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/brakes-make-clicking-noise.388753/

    it’s the brake pads shifting
