Does anybody keep the protective door edge film on a new car or truck? In a color like red, blue or black I’d be worried about it affecting the paint tint over time but my trick is super white.

I had a similar product on my truck's hood, front bumper and mirrors. Parked my truck in the sun for an hour, afterwards, I just slowly pulled the clear film off, no problems and no residue.

Do you hate door dings? I do and would never leave one on someone else's car. So, edge protectors are useless for me. If you're the same, then pull them off.

I removed mine maybe close to a yr in- they start looking grimy (stuff gets on the edges and maybe under) can yellow over time or become notable. i only has the door edges, certain spots on the rockers/near wheel wells. Still have a couple I need to remove but I need new 3m for the side fins (behind rear wheels) and the piece in front the rear wheels. Also need to remove the rear fender to get one of those mentioned above. Saved for a later date
