Clazzio synthetic vs leather

I would go leather. Quality leather seats should last a lifetime if treated correctly. You prob can't say the same for synthetic leather so I hope they come with an outstanding warranty. There will be a time when the pleather starts looking like shet and you know it. Just sayn.

 

For all the PETA wanna be's using pollution as an excuse to not get real leather they should really do their homework :

Hey! I havent had them too long but i really like them so far. i threw them into an SR so no heated seats but i did purchase after market seated heats and attached them to the back of the seat covers, unfortunately i have no had the time to wire them up just yet. but i can only assume they will function correctly. i havent noticed any trapped moisture at all. i suppose the only complaint would be that they do of course add a bit more material to the seat so it does feel different than your classic cloth. and also when installing defiantly be gentle when throwing on the back panel and pushing the cover around the plastic where the head rest goes in. it is pretty easy to tear them in that area when installing.

That is somewhat true. Many luxury auto brands, such as BMW & Mercedes, use synthetic leather as the standard option, but real leather can be purchases as a premium option. It is less about being environmentally friendly and more about profit.

 

You can't manufacturer anything without some pollution or environmental change. So let's just enjoy life and let the left save the world, even if it is all in their minds.

 

Well I called up clazzio and just ordered all black pvc..I also paid like 30 bucks or so for 3 year warranty on em so I am happy. I should get them on Saturday so I will let you know.

I know leathers would be much nicer feeling however the rep said these new PVCs they have are pretty good and the local Ford dealership to them just ordered a ton of them to install on new vehicles being sold. Can't be that bad! The pvcs from what the rep told me was that it does have a layer of padding and a anti microbial layer as well.

Also due to ports being clogged up and what not they will be backordered on shipments for the leather...at time of writing this they have 2 nappa leather , 0 leather , and 1 pvc left for 2020 Tacoma double cab power seat...

I surf and snowboard alot and tend to dirty up seats so I think the PVCs will do fine as a protectant. I was looking at wet okoles but ball sweat and swamp ass aren't something I want to deal with on hotter days.

I get compliments all the time. I am glad I went with the pvc. 95 percent of people cannot tell they are covers and are surprised when I tell them. Highly reccomend. They are a bitch to put on yourself however! I work out and I still had finger cramps for a a day

SOFTEX is what the toyota factory uses on there leather seats it's a synthetic leather and says it's more durable than real leather and doesnt get as hot like real leather

I purchased the leather one because I wanted the dark brown color. If I didn't care about the color, I would get the pvc one to save $$. Keep in mind that the leather cover part is only the middle section, the back side and the edges of the cover are pvc materials. To be honest, I can't tell the difference. This is my opinion only.

 

Spend the extra cash and get Catskin . Full swap no covers to deal with . I’m not bashing the covers but for some extra green you have a product that will last a long time and looks great .
