Clazzio Leather Seat Covers...

Hey guys, just bought a Metallic Sky Silver 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road, I'm looking to purchase seat covers right now and I was reading an old forum on members that had ordered the Clazzio leather covers. Just wondering how yours have been holding up? Thoughts before I order? Some guys mentioned doing a group discount buy from Clazzio? Anybody interested in that?

These seat covers have great reviews, are high quality, and with the TW discount a great deal in my opinion.

This is one of the next big purchases I am making for my truck this year.

I love my Clazzios! for what it's worth...

 

Spend a little extra and do Katskinz, I have the Clazzios and am going on my 3rd driver's seat bottom. Go black or any other dark color besides light gray. I will eventually be ripping this stuff out and putting a real leather in.

@Unchained 5150 how much do the Katskinz run? And are they 100% genuine leather? Is that what you are getting when you said your gonna switch to leather eventually?

 

It's a complete reupholster but well worth it.

 

What problems you having with seat bottoms? Mine stretched some but figured and was told it's normal. Other than that no problems.

 

So far both have turned blue, ripped. Haven't put the new one in yet. Figure I'll wait if I sell it.

 

@Unchained 5150 , I just called a local Katskinz installer and got a price quote, 1299, day and a half install. he said they install another brand (he liked even better) some brand with "road" in the name for same price. Told him I was comparing prices and was thinking about Clazzios, and he said "oh no, you dont want to mess with getting those" haha I assumed it was because he was steering me towards having them install what they have. Is it really worth it to double the price in order to have permanent leather? I was almost thinking covers would be better because you could remove them when you sell the truck.

 

I had Clazzios in my 2nd gen for 3+ years and never had a problem. I put them in my 3rd gen shortly after purchasing it in '16 and still happy with them. I figure I have mint factory seats under them if I ever sell it vs used leather from a reupholster(sometimes leather is a negative to people)

 

It's all personal preference Brother, these are what they are. A seat cover, where Katzkin is a whole new upholster and I believe a lifetime warranty and real leather.

 

@Pistol Pete that was my thinking exactly, they are not permanent, so if you sold the truck the new buyer could choose to keep them with purchase or you could remove them if they didn't want leather and sell them.

Had my Clazzios for 2 years now and they are just as nice as the day I installed them. TOTALLY worth the money to me. I could install 3 sets of Clazzios over a 10 year period and still be cheaper than buying Katskinz and after that 10 years I will still have perfect original seats while the Katskinz are at that point 10 year old worn leather.
