Just had a leer 100xr installed and I’m not impressed with the installer or the quality control of the cap. Id like to secure it to the bed better and I’ve read about others using clamps found at link below but seems they’ve been unavailable for a long time. I think these are similar to what comes with an ARE shell. Anyone have a source or part number that would help me track these down. Or if you know of any other good options? https://www.amazon.com/API-Clamps-S...9&sprefix=camper+shell+clamps,aps,159&sr=8-11

Bought those exact ones and they work great. You should be able to buy direct from API.

thanks! Some of the reviews said that they didn’t fit the 3rd gen because the space between the rail and the cap was wider than 2nd gen which these were made for. Did you have this issue?

I also bought the API clamps and they have been rock solid for a year now.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Not sure what your complaint is. I have a 180 on my truck for 6 years now and the only time it's moved is when I move it. The mounts are more than adequate.

what do y’alls clamps look like? The silver ones or the black ones. I’ve seen a few posts that say that the ac110 clamp doesn’t fit but the ac109 clamp does which I think is the black one. But the API site doesn’t show a record of AC109ULP4-TC. They just show it for a frontier.

I have the silver ones in the link. Amazon actually told me the date I purchased them...
I seem to remember with the O-channel bed-rail gasket I used I had to pre-clamp the cap as these bolts weren't quite long enough.
