Hey guys & girls. I have two tiny burn holes in the driver's side seat of my new Tacoma and it really eats at me. I like the occasional cigar, but I have opted to no longer smoke in my truck. It is the grey cloth fabric, I was wondering if there is a way to fix this without making it look like crap? My dad said seat covers but that just masks the problem. Thanks. :p

    Get to a upholstery shop.
They can steal fabric from an unseen area and repair pretty well.
You shouldn't need to remove the seats. Our guy never asked us to.

Sorry Mark I don't. All depends on the severity of the burn and how deep it is in the foam.
I've seen him fix stuff from 50-200 us. Still better than the price of a seat cover. You really don't want to know that.:)

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Fill the hole with clear silicone and stick the fabric on.

I once burnt a hole through both the seat cover and the seat. What a waste of money that was. Mikes advice is sound, but definitely stop smoking in your baby!

I fixed these in my wife's car before we were married...it was lease and I took some clippings from the back and super glued them to the burn areas...looked great...as far as how long they would last...I don't know:confused:

Your carpet color is probably a really close match, take a twin blade razor for shaving and get some fuzz and glue it with Upholstry glue over the burn.

Those are great ideas Steve & Timmy. The burn didn't go very deep into the foam, I will give that a try. Jeff, I think my carpet is a darker grey than the seats, but thanks for the input. If I can't fix it myself I will bring it to an upholstry shop. You guys are so helpful :)

    FYI
If you try to repair it yourself it will cost more to repair if the shop gets it second.
It's a lot easier to fix it the first time than the second. They have to repair what you did in the first place.
