Looking for a soft top for the Tacoma short bed. My last truck (Silverado) had a rollnlock which I really liked. Worst part was water rolled to back when I drove and water would leak in through corners. Also the locking mechanism will not work when it’s frozen lol. Can’t get in the bed when that happens. Also I hated the limited height. Now that I have a Tacoma I was thinking more height with flexibility of folding open easily when needed and having what I would think is a dryer bed (I live in WA state). Soft Topper and Best Top look like the best options. I found Outlander Soft Top in my researching. I actually like the outlander a little more. Based on how it mounts to the body. I’m not thrilled at where the soft topper hinges inside the footprint of the bed. I was looking for insight. What do you have? And what don’t you like about it? Why is their limited reviews, videos and IMages of the outlander? So weird. I actually emailed them two days ago about it. Seems like all the ImAges are stock images from Their website. Please post photos if you got some. Really interested in the visibility from
Drivers seat through the back window. I do wood working a ton And haul Lumber and tools all the time. :D

I have the Softopper. I love it. Great for camping. Easy to remove when I put the tonneau on in winter. Easy to store in my single car garage.

I only just learned of the Outlander soft top. I think the Softopper works better for my needs.

There is a definitely some loss of visibility with the topper but that is normal with any topper. You can still see through the back though...
